  Wow! These guys are exceptional. I took my cello to them because it was making a buzzing noise that was subtle enough for the layman not to hear, but to me, was so annoying that I had difficulty practicing. Sure enough, the Kolacny staff had a honed enough ear to hear it, too, and not only were they able to determine the cause, but they were able to fix it in a very reasonable amount of time for a *very* reasonable price. Also, their customer service is top notch. Every single person I interacted with, from phone to in-person, was very friendly and helpful. They dispel the "music snob" reputation typical of many string shops, and they clearly love what they do. I also love that their shop was founded so long ago - in 1930 - and is still being run by the family. It has that cozy mom-and-pop shop feel to it. I'm looking forward to giving them my business from now on. A+!
